How it works
What you install, and what you get back
Assay reads finished AI work, prices it and keeps the result in a store you own. It never enters the request path, so it cannot slow or fail a turn.
- It reads what you already run. Point Assay at the AI work your agents, harness or product already did. It records each unit with its cost and chain of ownership.
- Your conversations stay yours. Assay removes credentials before storage, then seals the remaining conversation under a key that never leaves your machine.
- The questions it can then answer. Assay joins each conversation to its spend. That record answers what a session was for, what a product cost, where money was wasted and what a result cost.
- The console. The read-only console runs over your local store and uses the same reports as the command line. A panel appears only when your store can answer it.
- Install. One command creates a config file, an empty store and a locked-down content key. Back up the key. If you lose it, the conversations become unreadable while every number survives.
- Deleting a customer’s data. Destroy a party’s key and their conversations become permanently unreadable while every accounting row remains.
