Five questions Assay answers

A billing page never saw the work. Assay did, so it can answer the five questions teams bring first.

  • What did this product cost to build? Assay derives what each session worked on, attributes the spend and reports an overlapping upper bound and a partitioned estimate that adds up.
  • Where is the money going to waste? Assay flags expensive models on mechanical work, overnight loops, broken cache paths and neglected retries. Each finding opens the conversation that spent the money.
  • What did a result cost? Assay binds spend to a resolved ticket, shipped build or served customer. If nobody has declared the result’s value, the ratio stays undefined.
  • What should this customer be charged? Assay attributes cost per customer and feature, and records each unit of work once so a replay never becomes a second charge.
  • What do we tell the board? Assay keeps its coverage, exclusions and rate card beside the figure so the same window recomputed later still returns the same number.
  • What Assay will not do. It will not invent a single wall-chart number, estimate what it cannot measure, tell you what work was worth, run itself in somebody else’s cloud, or be your payment rail.
